 Gotthun with its
direct approach to Müritz Lake is a center of attraction for tourists. The camp sites "Nitschow" and "Hirschburg" , hotels, boarding houses and holiday apartments in the community offer recreation and relaxation to more than 500 tourists every day. |

The landscape must have been appealing to our ancestors, too, because a megalithic grave, about 5000 years old, is a silent witness of the very early settlement in the Müritz Area. |

surfing,sailing, steamer cruises, carriage
rides, riding, sauna, solarium, bowling.

 Today,
the cultural centre of the village is the manor house that was built in
1826. It accomodates "Das Christliche
Jugenddorf CJD" (a Christian youth group) with its traditional work
shops where Mecklenburgian customs and traditions are practiced, and
which always keeps its doors open for visitors.
